About Your Presenter:

Dr Aban Gautam earned his undergraduate medical degree in 2016 from Nepal. He began delivering emergency care following the earthquake in April 2015, and his work has helped more than 25,000 people living in the isolated areas of the country, providing them with check-ups, treatment, and prevention tactics free of cost. He has recently been awarded the David Nott Foundation Award and is also the recipient of the David Weil World Extreme Medicine Conference Bursary 2016. Having studied Masters in Clinical Research in the UK, Dr Gautam now aims to transfer his skills voluntarily through webinars and training.

About Mountain Heart Nepal:

Mountain Heart Nepal is operated by a group of young medical professionals and has been working since the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015. Our mission was to initially provide medical treatment to the victims of the earthquake and provide accessible healthcare to areas where it has previously been inaccessible. Now, we are focusing on emergency response, health service development and in promoting research excellence.

We regularly host journal clubs, which is an excellent opportunity to review changes to standard practice and reviews of policies and procedures. Therefore, we invite health professionals nationally and internationally familiar with critically appraising literature to share their thoughts with our audience. An email to mountainheartnepal@gmail.com can be sent to become the lead speaker in our journal club.

Terms:

Mountain Heart Nepal reserves the right to cancel its events at any time. Where possible this decision will be taken no later than one week before the chosen date. Therefore, make sure to check back for any changes in our events.

If there are insufficient bookings for the online course all potential participants enrolled through online form submission will be informed as soon as possible regarding new dates. Please note there will be no recording of the webinar.
