Medical checks with CHANCE for NEPAL (UK)

Mountain Heart Nepal is proud to confirm its outreach mission comprising general health check-up for school children and senior citizens of Lapsephedi, Kathmandu on the 19th of November. The clinic will be held at Shree Baira Mahadev Basic School.
The program is supported by CHANCE for NEPAL (UK). The organization has been supporting various projects of Mountain Heart Nepal from education, emergency response to preventive school health programs in the mountains for children and women. We are very excited to announce that the founder of the non-profit Mrs. Barbara Datson will join our medical team and provide much-needed support on the ground.
We also received Hemacue 200+ to screen blood hemoglobin level of the school children from CHANCE for NEPAL The organization is also funding for its operating costs such as microcuvettes, lancet, cleaners, and antibiotic swabs. The data obtained through its use in similar clinics will be recorded electronically and the results will be analyzed and published later in high impact journals to inform stakeholders regarding the prevalence of anemia among the target adolescent school children in Nepal. The objective of which is to support future intervention programs.
The one day program is also expanded to incorporate our Magic Read project where CHANCE for NEPAL is also funding for health-related secondary textbooks to distribute among the school children.
