Our international volunteer Joshua McCowen shares his experience about his internship with MHN in his university blog. The details can be accessed at msmary.edu.
McCowen served as a photojournalist on the weekends during MHN outreach clinics and on the weekdays, he was English teacher at a local school, teaching children how to further improve their writing. McCowen also journeyed to remote villages deep in the foothills of the Himalayas to document earthquake relief efforts.
An International Studies Major of 2017 cohort at Mt St. Marys University, Mccowen was funded by the Dean of Liberal Arts to undertake his internship with Mountain Heart Nepal.
