Our community hospital in Hetauda, Makwanpur
Our outreach work showed us how much a permanent local health facility could mean to rural communities. That ambition took shape in Siddhasthali Rural Community Hospital, which we established in Hetauda, Makwanpur with support from Direct Relief.
The hospital brings emergency, outpatient and inpatient care together with diagnostics, pharmacy and other services. Solar power and an on-site oxygen plant help make essential services more dependable.
It is a significant step in our journey from a small earthquake-response team to an organisation connecting emergency relief with longer-term access to care.
